Thank you - I will double check with the dealer of the discs they have quoted me for are indeed 2 piece...

...that said, I am now leaning towards the 2 pc Zimmerman Discs + EBC RedStuff pads.

Just received my Zimmerman discs from Autodoc, however they both seem to be damaged - is this normal?

Just been chatting to Autodoc - they seem to think the damage was caused in transit and will generate a returns label within 24 hrs - once I have told them I have sent it back they will either refund it or send out a replacement. I'm all for giving people a 2nd chance but a bit wary of repeat damage - might just end up getting BMW discs from the dealer for GBP 100 extra..

Auto doc and euro cat part are both handy, but you can't account for courier. Those discs had been dropped from a decent height to do that damage. Don't go OEM unless you like playing 200% extra for the same stuff.

Agreed re the courier. The discs are very heavy so to cause this damage takes some doing by the courier - no surprise both boxes/discs were damaged - luckily I took pics as soon as I received them.

The OEM discs are GBP370, whilst I paid 270 for the Zimmerman - the OEM discs are good quality (2 piece etc) hence me possibly opting for them to avoid any further courier issues - that said the Zimmerman discs have a great reputation......

Did think about these but not read enough about them so opted for Zimmerman discs initially, but may turn back to OEM - still undecided...

Yes regarding the discs - for the pads the jury is out as I am still intending to install the EBC Redstuffs.

Improvement I'm looking for is reducing brake dust - I don't really brake hard but find the levels of dust to be much higher than other cars I have owned (even after a couple of local runs) - hence I was looking to install the EBC Redstuff pads as other forum users commented how the EBC pads reduce brake dust and in most cases the brake has more 'bite'.

I realise this is a matter of opinion though...but thought it's worth giving it a go....
