Rear radar sensors
I see an error in my BimmerLink:
"HC2 function - operational readiness - rear radar sensors not ready." Blind spot detection in fact doesn't work properly - it's bringing an error after a couple of minutes. Anyway, there are two rear radars - any idea how to check which one is broken? |

On the F06...the sensor on the right (passenger side if your car is LHD) is the control unit. The sensor on the left (driver's side if your car is LHD) is only a "slave".

Thank you for all the info!
I'm going to buy right rear sensor then. There's one current OEM number of it (66 32 6 885 041) and a a couple of OEMs that are end of production (66 32 6 873 339, 66 32 6 873 335, 66 32 6 869 507). I just wonder if I can buy one of the older ones from ebay, because they are much cheaper, but not sure if there's any difference between them. I wonder also if it's going to resolve my issue - it's really weird the system works fine for some time like 5 or even 30 minutes, then it's shutting down with the error on the screen and yellow triangles in the mirrors stop showing anything. |

An update to this thread. I bought new right rear sensor and got it coded yesterday. It didn't help, still receiving this the same error (LCW). The weird thing is that all works fine, with vibrating on the steering wheel and triangles on the mirrors, until the errors occurs which disabling this. No idea what the issue is.
