Adaptive Transmission Reset
Hi guys,
There's a procedure of resetting the transmission adaptation on most BMWs which goes along the following steps; does this work for the 6 series? Has anyone tried it? - Foot off brake - Press start to turn on car (but not start) - Press accelerator for about 30-40 seconds - Press start to turn off car - Release accelerator - Wait about 3 minutes, then start normally. |

that sequence sorted the issues in my wives f10 530d a treat, however i don't think you need to hold the pedal for more than a few seconds to initiate the reset.
I was getting a really jerky upshift from gears 2-3 after the car wheel spinned, apparently the adaptive settings got thrown out when this happens. Anyway give it a go |
