Try some Velcro.

Take the loop side (soft side) and wrap the end of the metal post that latches the headrest and see if that helps.

Exactly what i had recently, bmw lubed it all up nicely and now no more creaking

Have the same in my f10 m5. Banging the seat fixes it for a couple of months. (Not even joking)

I had a similar problem with the passenger headrest. Tried many, many things! Silicone lube seems to be the trick.
