2018 What Did You Do To Your 6-Series Today?

I thought it would be fun to start a thread like this that is going on an E38 forum I'm a part of. People use it to just post little things they did with their cars that day/week that they might want to share but not start a whole new thread for! Washed it? Drove it? Bought it? Did a little mod? Stuff like that. Hopefully that's OK?

I'll start:

Got mine back from the dealer for a HPFP replacement (thank God for warranty) and then went to a Sonic car meet up!

Job well done Mark.
Same issue I have with my driveway too. Def need the side skirts now which will help with the illusion of lowering. Gutted I can't get them as Maxton don't supply for the coupe, only the GC.

Okay...I'll bite, but mine reveal is something simple. I got my stone coasters from BMW CCA yesterday in the mail so I plopped them into the front cupholders this morning. These stone coasters absorb moisture, condensation, and small spills /dribbles which help keeps this area clean.

And, Buck...being an e38 owner, I know you appreciate having cupholders that can actually be used while the vehicle is in motion. For those that don't know...BMW's first attempt at standard equipped built in cupholders (e38/e39/e46) were way off the mark. They are notorious for tipping over at the slightest turn or pull-out into traffic. I never found an exampLe of a good built-in BMW cupholders until the e53 X5 debuted.

Think i will invest when the baby drops, for me i want to get rid of the gaping space inbetween the wheel arch, maybe i can rent it out to a small family and save for 21's

if my tyres were not less than a year old when i bought the car i would have changed them to non RF. I just cant bring myself to bin tyres that are still over 7-8mm

When my 5 series needed new rears i changed for NRF, mixed with RF fronts (had around 15k left in them) and it felt awful, changed the fronts the week after to NRF and ride was transformed

Is it being painted by a local body shop? Do you just provide the paint to the shop and they get the job done? Curious to know because I'm thinking of going this route soon.

I just dropped the parts off and said "make this part BMW Alpine White and make this part gloss black" and they handle it from there!
