I think I'm going to just start risking my life with the Weber wire brush, the rating was pretty good on America's test kitchen.

I'm back to a wire brush. Everything else seems to suck.

Yeh me too, nothing else works, like NOTHING. I am in the habit of turning up the heat post cook to turn crud into dust so to avid pests and this has reduced my reliance on the brush.

Yeah I do that too, but you have to find a happy medium between vaporize the crust on the grill and starting a grease fire in the drip tray

FYI We jokingly call that critical mass.

I've just got a wire brush that came w/my fancy grilling kit. It works, and so far now metal shards yet...that I know of.

Oh, you can still get it to catch on fire The upper portion can get pretty dirty and it's close enough to the burners that at 100% it'll light up grease that's coating any charred bits, but it generally does ok.

I havent used my smoker or my regular grille much this year. I love the griddle so much and its so versatile.

I know this may not look overly appealing but the char was perfect and they were super juicy. Sweet chile chicken kabob on the left and terryaki on the right.

It's weird, aussies never used a grille, we only used a griddle. So I get here and I am like, well how the fuck do I cook eggs or onion or even flakey fish? So I bought a griddle plate I leave on one side of my grille. Noticed when i go home that friends BBQ's are now half and half, so they like the grille to a degree but not prepared to get rid of griddle.
