F13 640i with 4" Catted DP, Wagner Performance, FTP Boost- Chargepipe

Hi I have a 2011 640i N55 and installed 4" ER Catted DP, Wagner Performance Intercooler, FTP Boost- and Chargepipe and the M-Performance Exhaust.

Now it sounds really good und is pretty fast, but I have a question:

When I drive it really hard, there is sometimes a "whistle" or a "squeak" when I shift at S Mode by myself... usually at the same time when a pop off blows out the air... where could this sound come from? Where does the wastegate blows the air?

When I drive fast but not extreme, this noise never comes. In Comfort Mode it comes rarely...

When I put engine to sport and transmission to sport and shift by myself, it comes very often when I shift at high RPM.

Does anyone has an idea?

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad English, I am from Austria (Europe)!

Peter

Could it be a belt or a pulley?

Than I would go with a small leak somewhere in the booster - chargerpipe. Do you have it also with high revs?

Hi, Charge Pipe is 100% OK without a leak because yesterday I tryed OEM and FTP and O ring is perfect at both :-)

Boost Pipe is FTP too and intercooler is also new, I don't know where there could be a boost leak?

If there was a boost leak, noise would be at high RPM too I think, but it is only when shifting in S Mode and full throttle... but not always...

I recorder it yesterday, you can hear it at second 4...

Now I have changed part 7626351 (boost solenoid) and now this sound is also at high rpm, up to 4000 rpm...to you think the old one was not 100% OK anymore?

I don't know why it is now so with the new solenoid, but now I really think I must have a boost leak and I think it is one of the couplers of the new intercooler because chargepipe is it definitely not...

Today at the bmw dealer I have bought 2 new o rings for intercooler couplers and I hope that there I will find the problem next week...

Sorry for my bad English....

Today I drove 100 KM and... this sound is gone, I have it not anymore... could it be that the new turbo boost solenoid 7626351 works better than the old one and the engine "learned" this? Is it possible that the wastegate now works faster or perfect so there is no disturbing sound?

I can drive like I want, no whistle or squeak, nothing.. everything perfect :-)

Congratulations. I am happy for you. It might be that the old one had a kind of malfunction in the high revs.

Thank you! I hope it now stays without problems :-)

This week I should get the new Tuning software for all the parts and then the 640i comes on the dyno :-)

You can see the parts in the picture and the old turbo boost solenoid...

Today i had it two times, this disturbing squeezing... but later it was gone... how is this possible...

I delete Errors in the morning and now I have

"102001 Air-Mass plausibility: Air mass too high"

Tomorrow I will check both couplers on the intercooler and change the o-rings there which I have bought at bmw...

Today we found it... the aluminium boost pipe from FTP had a small leak by the silicone hose because the clamps were not perfect mounted...

we built in de stock boost pipe and now there is no whistle and no error... :-)
