2015 M6 GC CP valuation

Car in question:
2015 M6 Gran Coupe
Singapore grey
Black full leather
Competition Package
Full merino leather
Driving assistance plus
Executive package
Bang & Olufson
Enhanced BT
343M wheels
Msrp $136,100

1 owner
Lease return
33,500 miles
CPO til 10/2020 (factory ends 10/2019)
Maintenance warranty doesnt transfer...what maintenance will i miss that would have been covered here?

All records available. 1200 mi service completed. Tires and brakes good.

Whats the forums opinion on price and valuation?

I wish it were a 2016...but hey...this is what Ive found at the moment. Is a 2015 that much “worse”?

BTW- i asked how much it would cost to extend the BMW CPO to 6 years...$5900! Ha! For 1 year additional

Thank you

I assume this is MY15, not MY16, or is it actually made in 15? The big difference the headlights if you're talking about looks. Otherwise Flying Ace has a good summary here

I'm not sure about the US model years as we don't use them, but production started early 2015 for them. The differences are shown in these two threads

You can't really miss it! For me it was the one external thing I wasn't a big fan of so I was very happy that BMW updated the headlight design.

For a CPO, $58k would be my limit. Anything in mid $50s would be a good price. Low $50s would be a steal. What's current list price?

Your question maintenance doesn't make sense. Over what time period are you asking this question? There's an annual oil change ($230 dealer) and brake change every 3 years. Those are the big ones. Spark plugs at 60k mile timeframe and rear diff fluids as well.

They are asking $57,500 and are firm on the asking price per their pricing method (bmw dealer)

In regards to maintenance, usually its 4yrs but since im not the 1st owner, the remaining 1 year doesnt transfer over. What would i be missing in this 4th year (between the 33k and 48k mile period) that would have otherwise been included free

$57.5 is fair price. Not terrible, but not great either. Unless there's something you absolutely love about the car, I would keep shopping or beat him up on pricing to get him to $55.

The 4th year would be 1 oil change and possibly brakes. Have th take a picture of the CBS screen for you. It's all conditions based anyways. I'm too lazy to look, but can anyone crack open your warranty/maintenance manual and look up plugs interval? I want to say every 4th oil change requires plugs (budget $800 dealer pricing), and possibly brakes ($2000 Indy pricing).

136.1k MSRP is absurd....

I'm waiting until mid-Summer to hopefully jump on a GC similarly spec'd like yours, just non-CPO. All depends on my finances though.

Considering it's CPO, 57.5k isn't a bad deal at all.

I was mistaken(bimmerpost mistakenly posted it for MY15). It appears MY2016 was LCI headlight refresh. I Googled pics of a few 2015s and they all had the older headlights.

Here's the original post. https://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1067822

LCI headlights gets rid of the LED turn signals on the bottom.

The CPO qualification cert shows that the front brakes are due in 14k miles and rears are due in 9k miles.. fluid flush was done 1 year ago. Not sure about rotors though

Only thing due soon is oil change, air filter, and cabin filter

Tires are 4-5mm thread from the top of the wear bars. Michelin PS4.

Also, the CPO is a limited warranty of course. A list of things not covered mentions SMG. Does the DCT fall under this category?

Whats the estimated depreciation over the next 2 years?

I dont think i would want to kee this car after the CPO ends, unless I can get a excellent 3rd party extended warranty that is not only as good as the paper its written on

I think that price is fair. In comparison I bought my 2015 black sapphire metallic with red interior, same options as you + carbon ceramics cpo 27,700 miles for $64,000 in August of this year. My warranty is up 05/2020

You have a more desireable color, 6k fewer miles, and CCB
But 5 months less warranty and paid $6500 more

Decent trade off and comparison depending on color/options desired

Yeah just giving you an idea since I just purchased. Factory warranty ends 05/2019, cpo 05/2020.

I purchased with 1 year and 9 months left of factory warranty. I'm now obviously -4 months.

I searched for 4 months. Exterior and interior colors seemed to play a crucial role to pricing. I for one wanted red interior as must and on the exterior San Merino blue, white or a mint black. I happen to find a mint black.

They did hold the car at $66k and I got them to shave off $2k.
