Thumbs up Best F1 Moments / Old F1 Videos You Like

we all say time to time like "those were the days.."

any F1 video you like in the past which can be recent past as well.. including maybe engine sounds, press conferences, overtakes, funny or angry moments.. if we keep the videos under 5mins, it can be easier for viewers to digest..

one video in each message please.. no rush for putting all of them at once.. we can make this thread like the "Best of F1 moments"..

lets gather videos together and enjoy them all together..

------------

i ll start with Hakkinen's best overtake.. actually probably one of the best moves in F1 history.. as a young lad still remember how good it was watching it live..

I love it....great overtaking, and two gentlemen racers. Plus for an added bonus 18,000 RPM's.

I used to have so much vhs video of races especially from the 1980ies.
I gave them away to a pal as part of a clear out...sort of regretted it ever since.
Some though I transferred to DVD. But none are short.
I do have some early rare stuff I'll have to dig out.

The golden era of F1. The amount of talent was mind blowing. Rosberg, Lauda, Piquet, Mansell, Prost, Senna and Berger all competing.

yes and it shows such a magical thing that Senna was "mystically" doing.. that was blipping the throttle almost right after braking parts is done.. which can be seen clearly since its a very slow corner at Rascasse.. its at 1:15 in the video..

Unsure why he was blipping the throttle almost right after braking....please enlighten the unlearned (that would be me)

Was this period during the turbo years and he was trying to keep the turbo boost "up" so there was less throttle -lag when he accelerated??

EDIT:
Just found this on wikipedia....

3.5-litre naturally-aspirated engines, active suspension and electronic driver aids (1989–1993)
See 1989 season, 1990 season, 1991 season, 1992 season and 1993 season.
In 1989, turbos were banned and new regulations allowing only naturally aspirated engines up to 3.5 litres were put in their place. The dominance of McLaren-Honda continued for the next 3 seasons, Prost winning the title in 1989, Senna in 1990 and 1991. The V10 and V12 engines produced by the Japanese manufacturer proved to be just as good as the turbo V6s before them, and the V10 was the best engine over the two seasons it was used and developed by Honda.

Good stuff here...Peter Windsor, the respected F1 journalist, does a great 3 minute narrative of the 1966 USGP. Jim Clark in his Lotus gave the incredibly complicated BRM H16 engine its one and only win. One of my favorite Clark victories...proud to say I was there.

This is just incredible - Senna was the precursor to ABS and performed this technique with other-worldly finesse.

Such incredible footage of clearly one of the greatest motor racing pilots - ever; it must have been incredible to be at the 1969 USGP and to witness the BRM powered Lotus at 10/10th's.
