We need to split that between 640i, 650i, M6 and in the rest of the world 640d as well.
The reason why the GC is less in 2012 is that they didn't start shipping them until part way through the year. |

Easy! The 6 GC is the best looking car BMW has made in years hands down.
Coming out of "the Boot" at Watkins Glen pre-HRE wheel change

The ONLY thing I like about the GC is the center brake light on top of the rear window.
But for me it is COUPE, from every angle, on any day, hands down! One says "The Brady Bunch" while the other screams "James Dean" - you pick... |

So sales figures matter, why?
Some folks are undoubtedly compromising and setting aside their first pick in order to haul kids n groceries. Probably all of 'em.. ;-) Quite a few posts pandering to what others think as a determinative factor...that wasn't why I bought what I did. |

It's all personal preference. I wanted a sporty/hot rod looking car so I picked the 650 coupe. Both styles are great looking but one is definitely more sexy than the other.

no way. If anything, looking at the side profile, I think the GC completes the lines of the car, as it smoothly tapers off towards the back. The coupe looks like it was abruptly cut off short. Everytime I see a coupe, it just looks "short" to me. The two cars are very close (I think within 4 inches) in length, but the coupe's proportions isn't right.
The market's already decided that the GC is more desirable for many different reasons. There's a significant difference in pricing in the used market.

Coupe is a great thing thing...Gran Coupe..is a great thing that can carry 4 people (3 in my case as no one sits behind me unless absolute emergency... i treat it just like a 2 door anyway.. I had posted somewhere before.. that this f06 platform gives you stunning style IN a sedan wit the capability to have over 600hp... cant go wrong either way....

I’m considering a m6.
Spec will sway me more than body style as I like both. I probably slightly prefer the GC though. Proportions are just right. Nothing much between the used prices from what I’ve seen in the uk. They’re big and thirsty for uk roads so they’re virtually the same price as a m3/4. |
