Good Bye Chrome Handles

Not to bad to do if im honest maybe an hour, getting them off is not to bad, use plastic pry tools, a bit of patience and some subtle force and off they pop

Excuse the state of the car, its off for paint correction later this week so its quite dirty

Thanks, i think starting on really small parts helps. bigger bits will seem much less work

sure, get yourself some plastic tools i bought these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12PCS-Pla...731c%7Ciid%3A1

there is a tool in there just the right size, start in the middle and work towards the back (bigger clip) there will be resistance as it is also held by strong adhesive tape (just take your time, it will start to move)once the middle part is free from the adhesive work back, some bending required to get the piece away from where the clip fits, once that clip is out front just slots out with some jiggling.

TBH its not the end of the world if the clip snaps, just use adhesive

So, you took out the chrome bits, put film on them and re-installed? You omitted that part and I'm just trying to figure out the method to it all.

That's exactly what I was thinking and wondering why it was so time consuming. Oh well, looks great Mark. It would look great on my white GC.

Did you or MARKPRIOR take out the actual Chrome door handle strip and wrap it or did you do it on car? I want this to be my weekend project for my ruby black GC also if you can point in the direction for the best wrap to get (gloss black, not CF) thanks!
