Wheel fitment

Will be getting my 640i GC soon and am looking at some wheels.

Found a nice set in this size:

Front: 20x9.5" ET24
Rear: 20x10.5" ET22

Will these fit?

Thank you!

Not enough information to give you a good answer.

Are these after market wheels? If yes, then what brand (perhaps someone will recognize the name and know)...and what are the wheel's bolt pattern & hub size? What size tires are you going to be running on this staggered wheel set-up?

You can run lower offset wheels (like you've posted)...but again, not having any other information...we don't know if these wheels will fit over the f06 GC's brakes.

The F06 GC's wheels original wheel offset range is slightly higher...so the offsets you've given will have more "poke" (will stick further out toward the fender)...so you're tire size will have an affect on this, too.

Here's a link to a wheel/tire size calculator that can give you some idea of how much "poke" and "inset" (toward suspension parts) a "new" wheel/tire combo will have vs your original set-up...compare the original wheel/tire specs for the front axle with that of the new set-up...and do the same for the rear axle...it should help you make your decision: www.willtheyfit.com

Good luck.

Those wheels are to aggressive. Setup is more for a M6. With those offsets your rear wheel will stick out 35mm.

For the rear, you can pull it off with 20x10.5 +34 with 295/30 tire size.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll be lowering with H&R vtf and want it flush. What off set and tire size do you recommend to fit flush in the front with a 20 x 9.5?

255/35-20 for a slight stretch?

When lowered....Front 20x9.5 +30, 255/35 is perfect imo. But if you’re running Non-Michelin tires that runs narrow for its size, you might be able to pull it off with 265/35.

I have another wheel that I am interested in. 20" but only 9", 10", 11" width. Custom offset.

I'll be doing more research on offset but I'm thinking 9"f/10"r.

What flush offset for 9"f/10"r?

They do look perfect. Do you have any rubbing issues in the front or rear?

I found very nice wheels, and I need to know if it will fit to f06 640i? Wheels are from X5.

20x10” ET 35

All in one size. What sizes of tires will I need if it will fit?

Not enough info.

What generation X5? What wheel style (or report the BMW part number if you don’t know the wheel style). The f06 has a 72.56mm wheel hub/center bore. The e53 X5 has a 72.56mm wheel hub/center bore. The e70 & f15 X5 have a 74.1mm wheel hub/center bore. The G05 X5 has a 60mm (or is it 66mm) wheel hub/center bore...as well as a 5x112mm wheel bolt pattern vs a 5x120 wheel bolt pattern of the f06/e53/e70/f15.

Compare what you have now (original front to new front & original rear to new rear) using the calculator at this site: www.willtheyfit.com

And you’ll still need to consider what the wheel’s center bore size is...if the wheels don’t have a 72.56mm center bore...they are not going to mount correctly on the hub of a f06.

But I need to now if 10” ET 35 will be ok on front f06?

Click the link provided in my previous post above...then run the original front wheel/tire specs and compare it to your new front wheel/tire specs. That calculator will give you the actual numbers (circumference/diameter/height/width/etc) as well as any “poke” (toward the fender) or “inset” (toward the suspension)..as well as an illustration of the old & new setup. The illustration will show one setup in orange and the other setup in green. If the parameters are really close...you may only see one color if the specs are the same are almost the same. If there is a greater visual difference...you’ll see it clearly in the illustration as well as having the specs.
