Just for anyone else maybe reading this thread - Adult Children of Alcoholics is a good one as well - helps those who grew up in dysfunctional families regardless of alcohol use too.

just something to piggyback off what i said earlier, you guys who live out west, i envy you. I went to Colorado last year, and did quite a bit of driving. If i ever felt stressed, that's where i'd be, driving out there in those mountains. It felt amazing to cruise around out there. Driving around always help to ease stress imo, but there's nothing to look at down here.

Yeah when I was in NJ I would take off by myself and cruise though the hills and what we called mountains. Down here in Florida I thought it would be cruising the Gulf all the time but the view just isnt all that great b/c of vegetation is always blocking the view

Pretty sad that Space Mountain in Disney World is something like the third-highest peak in the state of Florida.....

Driving a car in a condition like that was not an option which is why I turned to non-medical methods.

My horses are extremely therapeutic. Just being in their presence watching them graze is so good for my soul.

When I’m feeling down I remind myself there are people in this world who don’t have access to clean water or shoes. What on earth do I have to pout about? Absolutely nothing. No matter how meh I feel or how bad my day is, there is someone lying in a hospital somewhere begging for 5 more minutes on earth. My day isn’t so bad after all.
