Steering column disassembly

I've got something loose inside the steering column below the wheel. Can anyone provide me with some guidance on how to open the cover that houses the column? I'm talking about the large plastic clamshell that houses the column. Thanks in advance.

If you go to this site you can find out how to disassemble anything. Just find a job in the index that would require removing it, and it will describe how, or will link to another page that will. This link is to the convertible, but you can back out to the menu and find your exact car.

If you go to the link above...look for the HOME "breadcrumb" link at the top left of the page. This will allow you to type in the last 7 digits of your VIN...or make the selection for the model that you have.

If you use your VIN...the page will have a search box at the top right (see the link Opie55 provided)...and the quickest/simpliest/easiest way to find what you're looking for if you've never used the site before...would be to type "steering column trim" into the search box. You will then be presented with a long list of areas in the database with your search phrase. You might get real lucky and steering column removal may be at the top or right near the top.

Don't forget to look for any additional links (near the top of the page) to see if other things may need to be removed or understood to complete the mission you're on.

Good luck.

I'm good to go. Was able to find the column trim removal in three clicks from the above provided link. Bookmarked for sure, thanks for the help all!
