Why do they always break down at the worst times

Yay! Been sat for 4 hours in the car waiting for a recovery truck because the damned car decided to overheat. It is bloody freezing and pissing it down as well!

Thankfully I think it's only a thermostat, engine overheat warning and no heat whatsoever from the vents. Plenty of coolant. Fingers crossed thermostat anyway!
