I'm 16 months out and the same. I did, however, just DIY the crankcase breather hoses that are under an extended warranty for 2015 and earlier cars. I could have had it done for free at the dealer, but that's how much I try to avoid anybody else touching my car!

My Warranty expires in June 2021. Based on recent issues with the shake/vibration at highway speeds I am seriously considering a Warranty. Looking for a good thread on options and prices?

15 Months out of warranty on 2016 N63tu GC with 61K on the clock. Some money and work (mostly done in my home shop) was spent chasing low rpm load misfires at highway speed and upon downshifts at VERY high speed no codes were thrown for quite some time. After real time diagnostics over several days of driving, erratic fuel trim levels pointed to post CAT 02 sensors, once replaced the fuel trims settled and the car has run butter smooth in the 7 months since. Replaced plugs, coils, injectors, fuel pumps etc., etc chasing the issue on recommendation of the shop foreman at my dealer....

6 mo left on my extended warranty for my 2013 650. Have spent $3000 of the $4000 cost. Warranty people (Allstate) have been good to work with. I got 6mo to find something else to go wrong to break even. 37,000 mi on my car. I have been looking for a replacement car by August.

Still repair free

Still repair free after 7 months out of warranty. Dealer said the plugs should be changed. They wanted $6-700! I said no thanks and will replace them myself. Found the original BMW plugs for about $100 online and also - important - a thin wall plug socket for about $10. Iíll have a nice time replacing them. I actually like working on cars. Closing in on 48k miles.

Although I have read that I might consider going with Ďcoolerí plugs. Any opinions? Iím driving a 640, BTW.
