Rear Sunshade Won't Retract

Per the title, my rear-most sunshade simply won't retract while the two rear door sunshades are working fine. There's no sound or anything like that, it simply went up after working perfectly fine and won't retract at all. While the threads I found weren't M6 specific, it seems as though it's a common BMW problem with the power shades, and it sounds like the motor might have have just gone out?

Has anyone experienced this? If so, what was the issue and ultimately, the fix?

TIA!

Try using something like Bimmerlink to determine whether there are any codes set. BTW, a standard OBDII reader will not show these codes. I have had a few cases of codes being set that then disable a function. After clearing the code, the functionality was restored. If the fault is real, it will re-appear as soon as you try the function and you will have to fix whatever the fault indicates.
