My dad drives to Costco every 2-3 weeks JUST TO FILL GAS. LITERALLY JUST TO GET GAS BRUH

Like dude, how much did you save compared to getting gas from the BP that's en route to your job? $5? What logical sense does that make?

Only time I ever filled up from Costco was when I went with my mom to get groceries. Other than that, I just fill up from the BP/Shell that's near my house.

Hell nah.

Well maybe, I don't talk to him much. Like, I've never had any in-depth deep convos with him.

Weird, in regards to delivery, I loathe it. So slow, so unreliable, just takes me longer than it usually does to do a shop.

I usually just want to get out of the house alone. I happily volunteer to do grocery shopping just to have some time by myself. Though sometimes one or both of the kids accompany me, but its rare.

I read that Costco fuel is refined by Mobil and is good stuff, Shell has too many detergents in it and not that great as for a full combustion burn. Your dad may know that

We love their prime steaks, esp. NY strip for $8/lb.

Goat cheese is a good one and you can freeze it.

Butter is a great deal if you bake a lot.

Parmigiano Reggiano
Locatelli Romano
Bottled water
Charmin, paper plates and napkins
Dunkin coffee
Some OTC medicines
Baby wipes for the dogs

I think their prime beef is good, not great, so we don’t buy meat there that much unless having a party or holiday. There’s only 2 of anyway.

I believe it's uses one of the local distributors in the area it's in. So could be Mobil, chevron, shell, etc but then they add detergents to it. I've never had an issue running Costco gas when I have filled up there though.

But it's definitely an "only if i'm already there for something else" type deal. Because like everyone's mentioned, whats the point of a dedicated trip to save like $5. In general, the once in a while i do go to Costco, I usually go at random midday times during a weekday. Lines at the gas are usually non existant and the warehouse is relatively empty
