All

Has anyone attempted to remove these highlighted parts? I was thinking of painting them Gloss Black.

Wondered if:

- They would come out 'front ways'

- Required front bumper removal and then taken out from behind

- Paint in situ

(apologies for the badly drawn red boxes)

Here's a link to the TIS website that has instructions for the front bumper's ornamental grille removal (side & front): https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...amental+grille

Take note of any notation or links for PRELIMINARY work that must be performed before removal of the side & center ornamental grilles.

Good luck.

Thanks for that.

I think I might be able to get at the side ones by removing the wheel arch lining. The middle one will have to be painted in situ.

Saw an interesting video on youtube where baloons were used as a barrier behind the grille....

if you're interested in just freshening up the faded plastic, i taped off the surrounding paint and used forever black on the black plastic. made it look brand new.

Ah nice. Does it have a glossy look?

if by glossy you mean painted then no. it just restores the plastic and gives it a fresh satin finish.

Update...

I was able to remove the left and right lower grilles by removing the wheel arch lining. Also had to remove the fog light.

Primer has been applied.

Will need to mask off the bumper tomorrow and spray the lower centre grill. I think I might have been able to remove that from under the car as there is an access panel. With the splitter on, it's more effort so will spray that in situ.

All complete and car put back together...

Overall very pleased with the look. I like how the lower bits now match everything else that is glossy. There were a few indents in some trim pieces but for a car thats 4 years old, its acceptable and only noticible upon very close inspection.

The orange frog tape matched the pinstripe
