Speed limit display

Just noticed today that next to the speed limit display on the HUD, another sign appear with two vehicles, one red and one black.

Wondering what this means

BTW...that's not your HUD (head up display).

Below is a pic of the HUD...it is a display that appears in the lower section of the windshield:

Various HUD display icons and how to select them in iDrive:
  • Navigation arrows
  • Navigation Interstate Junctions & Exits w/distance
  • Distance Bar
  • Cruise Control Icon w/set speed
  • Lane Departure
  • ACC (active cruise control) distance setting
  • Speed Limit & Road Sign options
  • Entertainment List or Phone List (using the scroll button on the steering wheel)
