Need help! Will these wheels fit?!?!

I have a 2013 650ix M Sport lowered on H&R springs. I’m looking at a set of used wheels and tires and was hoping someone would confirm or deny if they will fit. They are 22x9 & 22x10.5 both have a +35 offset. The tires are 265/30/22 & 295/25/22

I appreciate the help. I know there are 100s of threads on this, so I appreciate you not yelling at me to use the search. I’m trying to get a quick answer. Thanks for your time.

Use the wheel/tire calculator at the following link...input the current front wheel/tire specs with the new front wheel/tire specs to see how much "poke" (outward toward the fenders) and "inset" (inward toward the suspension) you'll have. Then do the same thing for the rears...compare the existing and the new. Once you have the dimensions...you can determine if this works for you or not: www.willtheyfit.com

I don’t have access to my car to see the tire specs. I dropped it at the garage to have DPs installed tomorrow. I only know that I have 19” factory wheels.

Tires will not fit since they are to large and not meant for the car. And they will chew up your transfer case since you have xdrive and the tires have different rolling diameter front/rear.

The front rim is perfect fit. The rear will be flush with your fender. There are a lot of people driving with 10.5 and ET 35, and are happy with that. And some may find it to aggressive.

But 22" on a f06. Are you really sure about that?

If you don't know the tire sizes...if you go to one of the online part databases...you can look up the 19" wheel style you have. If staggered, then also look at the tires diagrams that are listed and look for the 19" tire sizes for either the square or staggered size wheels you have.

You can then go back to the www.willtheyfit.com site to check out if what you want to do will work or not. (It's really not that difficult to find what you have, even with the car not being on hand).

If you're not familiar with any of the online part database sites...here's 3 of my favs (below)...feel free to save/bookmark them for future reference. These sites are sources of invaluable information.

Just enter the last 7 digits of your VIN then click the "browse" tab/button and work your way to the WHEEL diagrams. If you don't know your VIN...look for documents you may have for it...or just click on the appropriate tabs to take you to the diagrams for the year/model BMW you have. Good luck.

I appreciate the info. I have the F13, which I’ve seen many people run 21 or 22” wheels. If I were to buy different size tires, would I be in good shape?

Great Link! Thank you! I just put in the specs, of the new wheels, and it has the rolling diameter as -1.8%. I see the BMW says to stay within 1% to keep transfer case from working too hard (i'm sorry this is new to me, I'm not a mechanic) I'm assuming BMW engineering wont break down at .8% higher than stock?!?! Suggestions anyone?

You need to run a 255 in the front for proper fitment with Xdrive. I'm running 255/30/20 front and 295/30/30 rear on xdrive for 2 years no issues. Used same willtheyfit calc suggested.

I am running 22"
Rears will fit, fronts will not, You'll need to go with a smaller width in the front. I had to go 245.

What wheels are you looking at? In the front you have an upper control arm (assume that's what it is) that has a knuckle that is likely to foul on the wheel.

I know in some posts on this subject the owner has opted to grind away material which I'm not convinced is the approach to follow. My view is the material is there as that's the safety margin the engineers felt was needed to stop such a big car imploding on its own suspension when pushed hard.

That all said, with a larger offset and narrower tyre you may be able to run past it and not foul at all.

When I recently purchased this car it had these American Racing Splitter 22’s on. They were 245/front & 295/rear at 9 and 10.5 inches respectively. Offsets are 20/front & 40/rear.

I have a 640d xDrive F13 and by the first of november I have to put winter tyres on my car.
I’m new to XDRIVE and I want to make sure that the wheels I have for winter are good for my car.
I know that there is a procentage for the wheels that I have to respect in order to not cause any problems to my car.
The car came with REAR : 275/30/20 tyres on ‘20/9J/44ET wheels and
FRONT : 245/35/20 tyres on ‘20/8.5J/33ET wheels.
The winter wheels that I want to use are FRONT: ‘19/ 8J/20ET and I want tu use 245/40/19 tyres and the REAR wheels are: ‘19/9,5J/45ET and I want to use 275/35/19 tyres.
Can you please tell me if the winter wheels are a GO or a NO ?

With all the info you have & "homework" you've done...is there something that you see that appears questionable or worries you or seems way out of sync with the existing wheel/tire set-up? If you used an original BMW 19" wheel that is offered for the f13 (f12 or f06)...would those specs be much different than what you've found? If unsure of the BMW oe 19" wheels...just go to one of the online part databases (like www.realoem.com) and input the last 7 digits of your VIN, then go to the wheel diagrams and see what the specs are for the 19" wheels.

Other than the aftermarket front wheel having an offset that is a bit lower than the average 6 series 19" wheels...when you run the specs through the calculator you can see that the wheel doesn't stick out beyond the fender, nor does it interfere with any suspension components.

When all is said and done...there are only a few things that you DON'T want to do and that is have wheels that rub your suspension, or stick out too far from the fender...and you DON'T want tires that are greater than 3% (+/-) the rolling diameter/circumference of the any of the oe BMW recommended tire sizes (it appears you're using ie 19" tire sizes...so that's all good).

If what you've selected falls within those specs...I don't think you should have an issue...the math (the "numbers') will answer those questions.

The only spec that we don't have is the hub size of these aftermarket wheels. Is the hub size 72.56mm (the standard f06/f12/f13 wheel hub size)...or are they larger where you'll need to use hub centric rings to fill the difference?
