Check Engine Light On here are the codes

Carly:

Mixture control, bank over cross: mixture too lean
Code: 118010

Mixture Control: mixture too lean, large deviation
Code: 118401

OBD2 Reader shows 3 faults

P0174 and P0171 System Too Lean

My battery is now constantly asking for charging, could this be related??

these codes are indication of air leaks downstream (after) of the mass air flow metering. Usually either small vacuum hoses or in older cars cracks in the rubber sections of the intake.
Try spraying some "starter fluid in those areas and see if the RPM changes. That indicates where the leaks are.

Going to dealer for new battery and check on codes. Could be due to low voltage causing code.

Dealer called and told me that they are going to replace the valve covers. I wonder if its the cover or the gasket and one or both. I also wonder if this has anything to do with my excessive oil consumption.

Hi I'm having the same issue now on my M5 what was the issue? Did they fix it? Can u help me please I'm getting same 2 codes.

Heat is a major issue on these cars, code went away after new battery and gaskets...
