I've averaged 24 mpg with 650 xdrive on the highway (would be better if I really wanted it to be). I would have expected 640 RWD to be 30 at least as it is advertised that way by EPA.

Straight shot cruising I do about 28 in my 650. I did a 700+ mile trip with some highway but lots of 2 lane mountain roads and some slow town driving and the whole trip was 25.5.

Exactly. I've been at 25.5 as well with straight cruising (24 with variable highway driving). So shouldn't a 640 be significantly higher?
