my 640 with New wheels, tyres, lowered etc
Hello everyone,
First thread here, never posted anything before but finally posting pictures since putting on aftermarket parts. 2015 640i Gran Coupe f06 LCI Sapphire black metallic Sydney Australia Zito zf01 wheels 9.5 front 11 rear finished in satin bronze H&R lowering springs Pirelli P Zero 255/35/20 295/30/20 Carbon Fiber rear diffuser Quad tips finished in black chrome and titanium inner effect -Absolutely happy with the result of the wheels especially the finish because a fully murdered blacked out car with bronze wheels has always been the dream concept. -Finally using a set of good tyres transformed the car especially coming from a set of horrible dunlop runflats that ride like rocks. -Honestly very disappointed with the h&r lowering springs. Ride comfort and all is excellent, but expected more drop to make the car sit more flush considering I paid about 1k for them installed. Might as well went for the KW adjustable sleeve kit. - Looking to install double slatted grills, should i go gloss or matte black? Overall, the car is now PHAT and road presence is definitely turned up to 11. Enjoy the photos, included a stock one. Cheers Last edited by thiscarlife; 05-18-2018 at 06:27 PM.. |

I did a 9.5x20 for the front, actually they are still sticking in, not flushed enough with the fenders and I might need to get spacers again. You don't have to worry about the width of the wheel, I just went with an offset that's too high. I think mine was around 32 for the front offset, should have gone with 30 instead.

Awesome job with the mods. I just completed some mods on my black sapphire 650 and will post some pics once I take some decent ones with some scenery. Regarding the H&Rs, I also used H&R lowering springs. Although, I wish there was a bit more drop in back, overall my drop is decent...actually it looks a bit lower than yours (I'm also on 20in wheels). I would guess the extra weight of the big V8 in the 650 is what helped the drop in front.

How's the ride on the H&R springs? I got a set locally and debating to either install or sell. Thanks, |

The ride is excellent, I had the springs installed together with p zero, i came from run flats so i'm used to riding rocks. But i've never tried the p zero without the springs. Overall, even with the springs, ride is still great!

I had H&R springs and i was definitely lower than yours. i wonder why there's such a difference in the stance. i just went with KW because the car was too low actually, as i was rubbing and had body damage when the new tires were too wide and the car was loaded with people (who were not wide)
