Need to vent - 21" Tire shortage
It appears Michelin may be prioritizing more conventional tire production over the more rare 21 inch sizes. Has anyone had any recent success in locating 21" tires? If so, where?
I've been looking for 265/30R21 (front) and 305/25R21 (rear) and cannot find any Michelins 4S/SS anywhere! |

I'm so glad I stuck with 20s, personally I think it looks better than the rubber band look, and these cars are stiff enough as it is, especially when they're lowered.

I currently have my factory 20s mounted and will keep them to alternate as desired. Still on factory suspension but plan to lower if/when I find 21" tires for these ADVs.

Hey do you think a 275/35/21 tire would fit on the front? Or would that ridiculous? lol I'm running 21" ADVs at the moment. |

My opinion is that these cars have a very low and elongated silhouette, so the factory-prescribed dimensions of tires and rims in 20'' visually fit them perfectly, especially if the cars are lowered with built-in spacers.
Not to mention better driving comfort with factory dimensions where even on poorer and uneven roads driving can sometimes be significantly more difficult and a bit uncomfortable, even if the setting is in "comfort" mode. I won't even imagine what it would look like when driving a 21" with a much thinner tire but as for the aesthetics themselves, there is no doubt that 21 '' is a tempting alternative.

My 21's ride justvas good as the stock 20's . I've had zero issue and I love the look . And I have a 325/25/21 on the rear . Tires don't look like rubber bands to me .

Well this thread became a "shoulda stayed with 20's" really quick, huh? lol.
Here's to your actual question: TireRack has Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in those sizes: LINK TO TIRERACK But yeah, glad I stayed with 20's.. Good luck, and maybe research and consider alternative sizes. - Leo. |

But yeah, considering other manufacturers might be the way to go for now. |

Heres a link to some Pirellis in stock @ $450 I looked for the Vredesteins but youll probably have to dig a little deeper. They are made in the Netherlands. They work well for me. Alot of drifters use them for some reason but they came with the car when I bought them. I'll be putting a set of Pirellis in the front eventually. |

You're right; sorry about that.
Would you consider other brands? Other two sites I use for tires are onlinetires.com and tires-easy.com, but doesn't seem like either has those sizes.. Last edited by xxTHIR13ENxx; 06-27-2022 at 03:10 PM.. |
