Latest Oil Consumption Issues

In January I had my valve cover replaced. The oil was supposedly filled (now to 9.5 quarts). 850 miles later the oil warning appeared, so back to the dealer, they tested the system and refilled to 9.5 quarts. Now 1,057 miles later, warning again. Ever since BMW instituted the 2 quart refill on warning I have been averaging 1350 miles. I wonder if it is getting worse. I notified the dealer, and will keep everyone posted.

Have you had them check the turbos? I've read through your previous posts but I can't remember you mentioning that they looked into the problem being in that area. I'm new to my M6 and turbo BMWs, so not sure their lifespan, but I have always been told to be wary of your turbos around the 70k-80k mile range. I'm not sure what mileage you are at in your '13, but from the frequency of posts on this from you and the mileage you put on in those timeframes it seems you and the 6 are out and about a lot.

Doing some google searching on the topic brings up that turbos can be a main culprit for high oil consumption. I'm not an expert by any means, just trying to offer up something that may help.

Also ran across this article https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/...tion/index.htm

Seems the 6 was way up there on being a culprit in their testing with '13 being the high water mark. May want to reach out to them to let them know your story as yours seems extremely excessive and BMW giving you the continual runaround. Getting some publicity on the issue could be a good thing.

1. Mileage at 55k
2. Already went down the media and lawsuit road, they are far more interested in the N63 engine
3. have you tried m twin power 60w 10. Do you mean 10w-60 Motorsport Engine Oil? No, I haven't I use the car spec is the BMW 5w-30. However, at next oil change I am going to switch to Lubri-Moly or Red Line 10W-60
