Iphone not charging, flashes battery icon

Has anyone seen this when charging their iPhone using the usb port in the armrest? The battery icon flashes in the phone in the upper right corner. Seems to be 2 quick flashes then a long one. I have used many different cables and blew air in all the ports. The cables work fine in a wall charger. 2014 640i.

Which iPhone iteration and what IOS version?

Your iPhone may require more power than the BMW’s USB port is supplying. Do you have a 12v socket/USB adapter? If you do, try using that to see if your USB cable works in that scenario. If it does, then it’s more than likely the USB port is not supplying enough power for your IOS product.

Yes, that was it. iPhone is a model 12. Got the adapter for the cigarette lighter and it’s charging! Thanks for the reply. Best,
