James Allison doesn't speak for the FIA. He just ventilates MB view on the case.


I think the FIA is going to have a very thorough talk with both VER and HAM.
Because taking such risks in pretty much F1's fastest corner (300kph) is I think not something the FIA likes to see. This time VER walked away, but the next person might not be that lucky.
Nobody wants to see people get killed (or seriously injured), that is very bad for the sport.
F1 being the pinnacle of motorsports, is constantly watched under a looking glass by the outside world.

This is a driving standard VER has set with his shenanigans since he entered F1. They had to create rules against him swerving in braking zones and a I believe he has had close to 20 penalty points on his Super License since he's entered F1.

Sir Lewis is one of the cleanest drivers in F1. Max is not. He has a reputation of being reckless and the paddock knows to give him extra room because of this. It's ironic that RBR cries and whines like addled school children when someone pushes back on little darling. It's really pathetic.

I don't want any driver, crew member or spectator to be hurt in an accident. If this was the catalyst to tighten up the driving standards the it will be a good ending. Any objective fan knows who this will affect the most.

Verstappen has squeezed HAM in 4 other races and HAM backed out. He was even squeezed and hit in the first lap prior to the ultimate incident. Max has a reputation for ultra aggressive driving. This is a fact and can't be talked away. It's available in every video from every race this season. Horner has even praised his aggression.

I can only think to take it from this that HAM was celebrating also of hopefully that Max would be shocked more to make it more easier for him in Hungary and the cursory inquiry of how he was from the driving seat was just a ruse, just another tactic learned if it should be needed.

HAM is more aggressive than anyone in the entire field, the trouble with him is basically squeezing in places where he shouldn't after going through the rules with advisers I'm sure pretending he doesn't know all of them.
With Button then, Leclerc at Monza,Vettel,Massa,Raikkonen red light hit, you name it he's done it and with his latest desperate cheat move he will get worse.
Any teammate of his is held to ransom by Wolf so that they conform to get HAM ahead, don't deny it as he is always points leading from teammate every time.

No one would 'dare' to say it in the paddock/pits as far as those employed by teams and their guests, so... FTFY
