If you are retaining the airbag unit from your M steering wheel no coding is necessary. Also consider when fitting with SA 248 (heated steering wheel) the heating function will no longer work.

I have this wheel, it's a great wheel. I rarely use the digital display though, but the heft and material is fantastic.

Is it true that u have to change some wires to make the digital display work?

yes. It's all in the install instructions.

Are you buying the wheel brand new?

I would say, if you don't care much about the electronic features, buy the standard alcantara M Performance wheel for half the price. It gives you the same feel.

Indeed that is what I head on my F32 for a while. Then I traded it in (was about 1 year used) for a brand new M4 steering wheel as I wanted to have heated steering wheel amongst other. The reason also being I have always liked the smooth wallnappa leather of the original M wheels. The M Performance one sure feels more grippy and gives one an incredible feeling of control. My F06 on the other hand still has the original factory sport steering wheel and I will wait until it is more worn before upgrading.

Hey Guys

I bought Strasse wheels for my m6, while back however ever since getting them I had issues with air leak and valve stems. First after getting them installed the back valves would run against the calipers however I got them changed to smaller calipers. The place that the valve is at extremely difficult place to reach to put air pressure and after purchasing numerous tpms sensors it’s still not working. Can anyone suggest how I can make these wheels more practical to be easily accessible to put air in them and how I can get the tpms cleared out.
