Farewell to this awesome community
This came about fairly quickly but I have just signed the paperwork to trade our remaining BMW, the X5 Xdrive 50i, in on a new Audi E-Tron
A couple of firsts there for me: * First Electric * First Audi * First time paying more than $100k for a car lol As much as I love the grunt and power of a V8 it's becoming increasingly difficult to deal with BMW's apparent lack of ability to build decent V8s. Here in New Zealand we will also see the introduction of an emissions tax next year which would make the V8s even more expensive to own. For now though, so long, good luck, and goodbye.

Cheers mate, best of luck with the Audi. Ive been eyeing of the E-tron GT as a potential replacement for my 640i GC (if I can ever bring myself to part with it!) Just bought my wife a new X3 30d MSport but also think we could be seriously tempted by the Q4 E-tron next time around also. I love that Audi build electric cars that look like (beautiful) normal cars!!

Should be interesting for you going from V8 to electric. I traded my 650x convertible for Audi A7 last month. Still miss the 650 looks it got, but don't miss the V8.

Good luck with the Audi Hugo. We bought our first Audi a few months ago (Q8). Beautiful car, but electrical issues, some build quality issues, hazy windows, and awful dealer and Audi support on the back end. Driving dynamics are quite different than BMW for sure.
E-tron may be quite different as it is not a gas-powered vehicle, but considering myAudi has been down off and on for almost 2 months, they really have some tech issues at Audi that have not been straightened out. But if BMW keeps making ugly cars, we may be forced to get another problematic Audi in the future (the e-tron GT is awesome looking). |

here she is...
Picker her up on Friday
* Floret silver metallic * Black milano leather * Moon silver trim * 21" Forged alloy wheels, 15-spoke style, contrast gray partially polished Firs impressions: * Very composed ride even on the huge wheels. No doubt helped along by the air suspension * Interior is of typical Audi quality with not a squeak or rattle * Plenty fast enough despite being the base 50 model * Interior tech is impressive. Car Play looks incredible on the MMI display There are some little annoyances: * Software bugs. Well documented issues where personalisation settings are not saved. I was not able to select my user profile at one startup. * Lack of automatic park assist is curious * Lack of ambient lighting in the cabin is a pity Overall though I am very happy I'll do a full writeup and comparison after spending a bit more time behind the wheel.
