Front seats

My front seats only recline half way. Makes it hard to pull over and take a nap on road trips. Is there anyway to recline the seat all the way flat?

I've never tried reclining the seats that far back...but since there are 22-ways of movement...make sure that your current seat settings is preventing the rear seat back from extending further back.

The lower seat section has 8 movements (10 if you add the extending thigh support)...so check that the front and/or rear TILT feature or the height adjustment is preventing the rear seat back from going back further. For example...lower the seat and straighten the front and/or rear tilt adjustments to a flat position...then see if the upper rear seat back will recline further.

You don't say what car you have, but in a convertible, and presumably the coupe, the front seat back would hit the rear seat cushion long before it was fully reclined.

2013 F13
I've tried putting the lower seat in different positions, here it's all the way forward and the highest position. There's about 10 inches of clearance to the back seat. There are no obstructions, but it stops reclining at this point. Both seats stop at the same angle.

I'm guessing that was an intentional choice because of the assumption it would be dangerous to drive with a reclined passenger because they would not be restrained correctly in an accident.

Yeah I think you're right. It would be nice if they would have designed it so if the car is turned off , you could recline all the way.

Guys, a quick question here. Passenger's seat, upper forward/back buttons move a seat fully backward but only halfway forward. I mean, I am keeping pressing move forward button, it moves forward then stops. And if I use buttons at a seat module the seat would go forward for almost same distance. It seconds, a full move from back end to front end with lover buttons takes like 13 seconds. The same exercise with upper buttons takes 10 seconds and stops. Is it ok?

I never timed mine. Seats are pretty slow, but 13 seconds seems pretty long. Now you have me curious. I guess I'll check.

I happened to check mine on the weekend and they do recline quite a bit more than what yours are in the photo you posted.

I guess it should recline way up to the touch of rear seats.

Anyone have any photos of how far back their seats recline?

I do. And they really do not go way to the back seat)))) I do not know why. If you put it way to the end forward and then recline to lowest position back there would be a space for iPad 10.5" between rear seat and backside of a front seat. If you move reclined seat way to the end back, it would not lay on rear seat pillow as well.
It might be with my skinny 4series rear seats, I know 6er has much "fat" rear seats, but recline angle for front comfort seats is not great, I do agree.

P.s. I do have 650 front comfort seats in my 435, if any.
