Question on Rims for a 2018 M6 Gran Coupe

Hey All,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2018 M6 Gran coupe and I'll be the first to admit that I don't know all the options available.

I have 2 main questions before purchasing it and,

1)The rims look different in the car I'm looking at:

versus:

I'm being told by the dealer that the rims are the only rims that come with the M6 Gran Coupe competition package. Am I missing something?

2)I'm being told that all of them are dual-clutch manual and that there aren't any manual options. I see that it says "manual" on the listing and I just want to make sure I can drive it.

Thank you all in advance!!

Garage List
2014 BMW M6 GC  [10.00]
The default wheels for the competition package were the 601. several of the others light weight wheels were no cost options. Get the VIN and look up the options.

In general all your questions can be answered by going to the current online configurator. The M6 GC for the most part is the same set of options since 2014.

1. 601m wheels (the one on the blue car) was an exclusive option for competition package cars. However, you can also option 343m and 443m wheels (black car) with competition package too. For competition package, aside from the 601 wheels, you can look for dark exhaust tips, but pictures are deceiving. The black car appears to be competition package too based on the tips.

A VIN decoder is what you need, if you're trying to determine any packages with any certainty.

2. Yes, a 6 speed manual was available. It's rare but out there.

I think the black one looks like it has the carbon tips on it, rather than the comp pack exhaust.

The easiest way is just to look up the vin online which will give you a list of all of the options.

Exactly. It's hard for me to tell in photos. The black car was obviously modified with cosmetics. It has a M Performance (or knock off) rear diffuser
