Back when I was in school, I remember the outrage over the Calculus 1/2/3 textbook costing an insane-at-the-time $51. The professors had to point out that it was "only" $17/semester over the three courses.....

We used to buy this for $3 a case:

The designated driver could only drink 6. We got pulled over a couple of times and the cop made us dump all our beer on the ground. Then let us drive home. I think it's better now that we don't allow that sort of behavior.

I'm well aware of how much it has gone up. It really upsets me when people say "well I worked my way through college, kids today can do the same". These people are very out of touch with todays reality. Full time job at minimum wage isn't going to pay for it, let alone a summer job.

When you know Michael Jordan is the greatest ever and it's not even a debate. Seems like the only people who argue otherwise are kids who aren't even old enough to remember Kobe's prime. Their interest in basketball didn't begin until...ahem...the summer of 2010.

Dude yeah, a summer job isn't going to cut it. I made $17/hr this summer as an engineering intern, which is about the going rate for my major's interns in chicagoland - a whole summer without spending anything barely covers half a semester for me. 75% of an in-state student but that's if you don't spend a single cent...

Lets not forget the corrugated edges, and the scraping of the roof of your mouth to remind you hours later just how good they were!

Corner store has bags of about 6, 2/$.99. Every now and then, when my sugar is crashing, I make a stumble for the store!!!!

I was just reminded of something.

Mom and Dad were going to a party, and a new babysitter was coming over. I was 12 or 13, so it was for my 3 younger brothers, although eventually if was for ME!!

So I'm climbing up/down the chimney to get to the TV antenna and re-wrap the connection in black tape, and leaning over the eves to ask her if the reception is any better.

A few months later,, when we're making out on the couch, she tells me those tight hot orange painters pants were what stole her lusty parts.

GET OFF MY TV ANTENNA!!

I'd be careful with that remark good sir. There are gummy products out there these days that will do some pretty miraculous things to you and for you.

I don't recall a specific name brand. What I do recall is that they came from Colorado and California. I have a friend who travels for work and he always brings (ahem, cough - ships) goodies back. What I do recall of these goodies is massive amounts of couch time, never-ending hunger, lots of laughing and overall a great time had by all. We wasted an entire day (several times) doing absolutely nothing and had a blast.
