NBT Evo model years and upgradeability?

I was wondering if anyone knows what model year the 6 series starting getting the NBT Evo nav system and what version it comes with? I would like to know if the system can be ugraded via software update to the latest idrive version that comes in the new g30 5 series, just without the touch screen ability.

Thanks

NBT Evo ID5 was introduced in 2017 6 series models. I'm picking up my 2014 M6 GC Monday and will be doing NBT Evo ID6 retrofit with LCI screen. It will be done by the end of the month. I'll post some pics. Here's some pics of a NBT Evo retrofit we did with pre-lci screen.

So could ID6 be loaded via software update without Hardware changes on a 2015/2016 GC?

What hardware would be required to get idrive 6 on a 2016 650 gran coupe?

If the car already has the big nav screen and touch controller, can just the headunit be replaced by nbt evo and then coded? Do you lose any functions with the upgrade?

approximate cost?

You will need to swap radio and install wifi antenna and other minor wiring.

You will lose SirusXm radio, BMW Assist And Online services.

Can the dealer make it so that you can still use these features?

What is the difference between the LCI and Pre-LCI screens? I see a lot of 2014 models that have some LCI parts (LCI steering wheel, touchpad iDrive controller) but not all the LCI parts.

And so with ID6 you permanently lose Sirius no matter what?

I'm pretty sure there is another thread here that goes into depth on this topic.
To answer your question, the newer screen has much better resolution; that's it.

There’s a way to keep Sirus but kit will cost more. There’s absolutely no way to keep connected drive online services though.
