Considering a 2016 M6 GC comp.
My local dealer has a 2016 M6 Grand Coupe, competition 30k miles, one owner and clean Carfax. MSRP $137k. Singapore grey over fill leather.
Asking $68k and I'm guessing I can something off. Seems like a pretty good deal. Just had a major service done with plugs. I welcome any input.

wow! I am shocked by how fast prices has dropped (kind of), though my theory is model year is less of a pricing factor than mileage and condition for these cars.
To put this in perspective, back in December, I bought a 2014 GC with similar options for $63k. Mine had 31k miles, but I had CPO tacked on along with the installed goodies in my signature. As a 2016, from a warranty perspective you have the same car as mine, but $5k more you're getting updated navigation, more HP and new headlights. Jealous. I should have waited!

It looks like if '16s are in the high $60s, then '15s are in the sweet spot of having lots of room for negotiation. Look at where the floor (2014s) and ceiling (2016s) are...you can see a price compression (spread is about $16k). Meaning, you can probably get '15s for not far off the 2014 prices.
But again, my theory is, the model year will only account for minimum price differentiation. (maybe $4k or so). The mileage will be the major variable of price. If you have a '14 under 20k miles, I bet it'll still sell in the low $60k range, assuming it has extended warranty.

Thanks for the input. I can get more favorable terms on the 16 through my credit union. Plus the 16's Comp Packs have 600HP. That's insane.
I'll keep doing some research, but from what I've read the M6 GC is an amazing car. Beast on the track and great daily driver. Any short comings? Either practical, service or otherwise? This would be a second car for me. Less than 6k miles per year.

It also depends what condition the car is in as well as if it has remaining warranty and if you buy it from a BMW dealer. I bought mine from BMW of Monterey with remaining warranty and 19K miles but they showed me all the maintenance they did and it was more than $6K with not a single scratch and my friends thought it was new down to the driver leather seat.... it depends...

A 30k mile car would be looking at its 1st brake job and 1st spark plug change within a 10k mileage window. A 2014 would likely not be able to fit the service in under the original servicing plan (unless it comes with extended maintenance). A 2015 would likely get it covered (assuming you're a 10k/year average mileage), and 2016 will definitely get it covered. Again, this is assuming that the 2014/15/16 car have the same mileage. That said a 30k mile car for a 2016 is considered "higher mileage" car. A brake job costs $2k in parts alone on this car. And an oil change is $100 in parts alone. A plug change is also not cheap.

Does the 2016 M6 have adaptive cruise control and automatic closing trunk? My research shows it doesn't. Which I think is odd.

At least on Australian market no it doesn’t. But if you ask me, the adaptive cruise is just annoying, so happy it doesn’t. As to the auto closing trunk lid, yes, wouldn’t mind having one, then again, how often do I really miss it... If that’s a deal breaker, maybe consider M5 instead...

In regards to the auto-closing trunk, no . . . and it doesn't have soft-close feature either which would have been a nice consolation prize. But hey...the F06 GC has that fancy "peek-a-boo" back-up camera incorporated into the trunk's Roundel . . . which other model has that, right?

Yes, but for some unknown reason the self closing trunk is not available on any of the 6 series variants.
