This was definitely one of the better gymkhana for sure! But as far as pastrana goes he doesnt look confident while driving (amazing driver for sure though) but block had this calm cool and collectiveness to him.

Pastrana seems to drive with a death and im okay with that haha

That high speed jump was crazy - made me stop the video and rewatch a few times. Pastrana is a beast but certainly had his "oh shit" face on for most the video.

Also that tire drag off the side of the dock is absolute madness.

I saw it live at downtown Annapolis, was a pretty cool experience. Missed the jump as that was early in the morning but watched the drifts around the circle and other cool tricks.

So many people who were just in the area either walking or shopping stopped and watched as the crowds grew larger. So many people had no idea what was happening but stayed to see the event.

Pshaw. He's got nothing on former WRC driver Mikko Hirvonen. Every time they'd show that guys face, he'd look like he's about to puke from sheer terror. (1:58, 6:17 if the video doesn't go there automatically)

I suppose its possible he just has a healthy respect for what he's doing though....

Garage List
2018 BMW M2  [10.00]
1. Ugliest car on earth.
2. I love the backwards drifts, so awesome.
3. I hate seeing the set of black marks from previous practice runs.
4. That drop off the pier, just wow.
5. That backwards jump was sooo rad.
6. No way he did this video on one set of tires.
7. Shameless plugs FTL.
8. Doughnuts, really? In a video that showcases this kind of skill, you're still doing doughnuts? Oh brother.
9. Facial expressions FTW.
10. Love the high-speed drifts, and the high-speed section in general.
11. The high-speed jump was epic.
12. Fantastic sound.
13. Mad respect, great skills, Travis is awesome.

That's about it.

Wait... so the run wasn't recorded straight through? I mean I get practice runs, but if they just stitch everything together from the best runs of the day I'm no longer impressed.

Its not a single run. A lot of it was shot at different times. The first shoot was the jump and then drift into the street. 2nd shoot was drifting with the new BRZ and then coming down the street and drifting the roundabout. The other shots on backroads were later in the day from what I heard. The stunts were performed multiple times however this was not all one shot, they did use the best version for each one.

Did you really think they had a couple of hundred cameras lined up as one take? Didn't see all the existing tire marks?

There is a series on Amazon that shows the behind scenes for Ken Blocks last one.

The Gymkhana Files. Pretty cool show.
