adding front camera

Has anyone added / retrofitted a front view camera to the pre LCI F06? I like to sit low in the car and can't see the nose when parking. I currently use a DYI ultrasonic sensor but would like something more OEM+.

Do you have PDC with the surround/top down cameras? Asking because they can be helpful when parking to see where raised curbs are located.

The one caveat with the F chassis 6 series is there was no OE front camera. The cameras up front are really for side viewing when creeping out into an intersection or out from a parking space. There’s a yellow line that indicates what is safe or what is sticking out in traffic…but there are no cameras up front that are looking down at the curb in front of the car.

The cameras in the side mirrors and rear view camera do give a surround view…but since there’s no front camera when getting close to a wall or high curb directly in front of the car.

To get the views below, simply press the PDC button and if the rear cam is what you see, just press downward on the iDrive controller knob and the view switches to top down.

Thanks Qsilver7. My "concern" is avoiding the "stops" that are placed ahead of the curb. They are not visible with the camera system. I tend to be very conservative up to them and find out how much room is left after getting out to see. The judgment becomes even more difficult when the parking is on the diagonal / slanted parking spaces.

The only front facing camera is a night vision in the driver side kidney

drop in an upgraded android info screen,use the aux camera option to mount up front instead of the back, and mount it in the same location as the night vision setup
