Agreed, when warmed up the cup 2s hook well. Just don't enjoy having to do a burnout every time I want to grip in 2nd.... can't seem to get them up to temp with normal driving, which should be expected as they're track tires after all. As for the ps4s, I'd love to but I also love the meaty tire look out the rear, and hate the stretched look. If only manufacturers offered more in 325/335... other option I've considered is the R888R in 325 (they run wide so it's about equivalent to a 335 PSS. However that's a lot of money for tires that will last 5000 miles, so I've been holding off trying to find a used set of PSS. Looking forward to see how the custom wheels look! Would be the first 335 rear tire on an M6 I've seen!

Yes, I can't wait either. Hopefully I can have them mounted this weekend. I also found some 5mm spacers that I will throw on chasing the perfect fitment.

Got a little bored and had a pair of 10mm spacers laying around so figured I'd do some testing. On stock suspension, it looks very very aggressive. Lots of poke, but obviously when you lower a car (or compress its suspension) it gets some natural camber. First two photos are sitting normally, last two are pulled on a hill to show how the fitment if I was lowered, looks perfect to me. Best of all, no rub! 335 in my opinion IS possible.

Here are the results folks!
20x12 ET20 on a 335-30-20 lowered on H&R springs. Unfortunately, this offset might not work and might need to be lower. The tire is almost/or is touching the spring inside the wheel well.
Not sure if any rub is gonna happen but from previous experience with other cars, this looks very aggressive and usually rubs.
Pics: (I will try to get better ones during daylight)

Sure does look good! So correct me if I'm wrong, you're running the 20x12 et25 with the 5mm spacer bringing it to et20? If it is hitting the spring perch on the inside very slightly, maybe et17-18 will be the sweet spot? Also are you concerned with rubbing the fender at all?

Yes, correct, ET25 with a 5mm spacer. I think ET18 would be perfect but there's gonna be too much poke still. As it sits with an ET20 I think it will rub a lot on the fender.. so an ET18 is even worse.

Any chance you can get a photo of how close the spring perch is to the inside of the tire?

No way. I'll try maybe tomorrow. I basically stuck a thin piece of cardboard an it barely went through. Not sure if the space is the same with the suspension compressed, but I put the wheel and the car was jacked that's how close it was.
The PSS 335 has a huge wheel guard. If there was a tire in the size that was more square and no wheel guard 335 is very doable.

I don't believe it gets closer under compression as I had 2, maybe 3mm of space between the perch and the tire (with the car on a jack, zero compression on the spring) without running the spacer (et25). Never once rubbed even with a full car doing pulls. So maybe we can get away with et20 even if there is hardly any room. I found a set of PSS 335 near me for sale, waiting for a reply. Here's a photo of the space I had without the spacer, on jacks.

Honestly the size difference between a 325 and a 335 is minimal, that's i imagined it would work. In your picture my tire was in contact with the perch.
I honestly started doubting myself when I put the wheels on lol.. I was like are my genders narrower than other people lol

Bit of an update for you fellas. Seems that I was wrong about the tire in contact with the spring. I jacked it up once again and found that it's almost there but not quite. I also ended up putting all the weight of the car on one corner to see if there is contact. Again, very close, but I think it will pass. The only contact I found was right where the quarter panel and the rear bumper meet. That's full compression so I'm assuming it will rarely get to that. I'm thinking about a slight fender pull (I'm trying to stay away from that, I want the body untouched if possible) and maybe a bit of a trim to the where the bumper and fender meet (done that previously on my old 335i to fit bigger tires).

Wow that's close! Seems like it may be possible though. One thing I considered was taking a grinder to the lip on that inner spring perch and dropping to a 3-4mm spacer to gain some room at the outer fender. Stupid idea? Possibly, but it is just rubber and metal... better than rolling fenders In my opinion, bad experience with that. How's it look from the rear of the car? Steam roller? Lol

Taking a grinder to the spring perch is definitely a bad idea hahaha.. I thought I was the bad one trying to fit 335s lol
I'm not too worried about fender rolling because it will be very very very minimal (honestly will probably be fine without it). not what you usually see on other cars. Looks crazy from the back lol can't seem to get a good pic as the garage is a bit dark and it messes with the camera. I'm getting super tempted to take the car out, but already has been sitting for 3 months now and there a lot of snow out.

Have someone local to me who posted a pair of PSS in 335 with high tread for sale for a great price, messaged them and haven't heard back yet. Main thing I'm curious on is how well they will grip. Stock PSS in 295 gripped very well from my experience. What's your front wheel/tire setup? I'm on a 275/35/20 on a 20x10 et25. Not very aggressive at all with that offset. Definitely need to lower my car but don't want to go fixed springs, looking at the KW HAS kit or the H&R VTF.

I'm rocking PS4S on 305/30 on H&R springs and DME stage 1 tune and my tires always hook even when they're cold. I would expect 325 and 335 to perform even better.

Front is the same size and offset as you with a 265-35. Could use maybe a 5mm spacer or more.

Well folks, the search of perfect fitment and the widest tire possible continues lol..
Today I tried the rears without the 5mm spacers, sure enough they fit with a sliver worth of spacer between the tire and the spring perch. The fitment is absolutely perfect and right where I wanted it initially. I'm thinking of getting a 3mm or 2mm spacers if available just for the extra piece of mind in case there some tire/suspension flex around corners. From the looks of it, there's no way in hell it will rub now. A 3mm or 2mm spacer will just spice it up a bit for a tighter fitment and possibly still no rub.
I stole the 5mm spacers and put them up front, and let me tell you, PERFECT!
So, 20x10 ET20 on a 265-35-20 is money for the front. 20x12 ET25 on 335-30-20 works but possible problem free with a 2-3mm spacer for perch clearance.

No issues at all with the tyre touching the liner on the front of the tyre?

Nothing from what could tell. If the weather permits I might try to get the car out for a bit to test out the setup.

Wow that looks insane! Now just waiting to find a set for myself. Fed up with my cup 2s, as it's gotten colder, 2nd gear NEVER hooks. Planning to go BM3 stage 2 soon... but don't want to lose 3rd gear too lol

Lool i feel you. The reason 335s are good is that they are only in PSS and not cup 2s. The PSS usually hooks up a bit better when cold whilst the cup 2s are really good but they need to be really warm..

Huge failed attempt at taking the car out today. PSS plus Rwd and snow doesn't mix lol. Barely got out of the garage and got stuck. Had to put her back in before it got bad lol.
In the process I didn't hear any noises or scraping come from the back.. I did double check the clearance to the front of the wheel liner, and again, almost no room but just enough.
