I got the Isley info a few days ago. Real quick read it looks like you get something like a few dollars per quart of oil you used between oil changes. Didn't read enough to see how you verify to them how much oil you bought between changes. Not much use to me since I sold the car 4 mo ago.

I was about to shred them (I got two of 'em...1 for the f06 & 1 for the f15).

I got one. My car burns no oil and the engine is still in one piece, so I threw it away. But even if it did burn oil, imagine taking the time to put together all the documentation necessary just to get reimbursed for a few quarts of oil.

Is Isley a lawyer? He probably made out pretty good.

I assume Isley is the named class representative in a class action. But I didn't care enough to read the case caption.

Garage List
The main power of the Isley settlement for the N63TU is just like the Bang vs. BMW settlement for the N63 NON TU.

It is for oil consumption issues. If a dealer determines your engine uses an excessive amount of oil by performing an oil consumption test, then you are entitled to either free valve stem seal replacements, or in some cases a new engine. However, if its a new engine as determined by BMW, then the customer pays approx the following based on a prorated scale. Up to a certain amount of mileage the customer does not pay out of pocket. I think around 50 or 60K miles. As it it approaches 120K miles, the customer pays towards 100%.

In either case whether its free valve stem seals repair or engine replacement, the settlement coverage ends after 10 years of in service date or 120K miles whichever occurs first.

If you get an engine replacement, engine backorders are a very long wait.
