Auto Close window Up issue!

Whatsup Guys,

I recently bought M6 coupe and I see that this topic was touched before but never really answered, so let me refresh, I notice that the driver window would "bounce" back if I did the one touch up. Meaning, trying to get the window to auto close when it's open, it goes about 3/4 up and window then bounces back down to open, I have to manually hold it to close it and sometimes it takes me 10+ tries. What do you guys think it is, i just got the car so I hope its nothing big. Thanks

Yeah, same problem. See link...

http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1482545

evanescent03 was going to the dealer and revert back what they said. I'm pretty sure it is a regulator issue. I already checked my switch when I replaced the door pull. Everything looked fine.

thanks for replying guys, let me know if the new regulator helped, my car is not under warranty anymore so im sure this would cost a lot to fix at the dealer, my friend works for bmw as a mechanic so im sure he can replace it but I want to make sure its the regulator before i replace it.

This issue just popped up on my car -- what should I tell the dealership? Just to replace the regulator? Or regulator and motor - (maybe the same thing *shrugs*)? And with this issue being common with frameless door, possibly the insulation is causing the bounce backs?

This is so f*ing annoying, its summer, I want to roll down my windows, but one window doesn't even register the input from the button. The others sometimes bounce back.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Ive been having the same issue, seems like a common issue on our cars..Do we need to replace regulator only or motor as well?

Until you get the issue fixed...instead of repeating the bounce over and over (wondering when will it actually go up)..just raise the window up (just prior) to where it usually stops and bounces back...RELEASE the button...then press again.

If you stop the window prior to when it bounces back...then start the upward process again...you can usually get the window closed. Or like mentioned...sometimes if you press & hold the button it may go pass the bounce back point and continue on to close.

Looks like it says replaced the motor for the regulator not the regulator itself?

Something that can be done with a scan tool? Or combinations of holding down buttons?

Yea i have this happened to me once in a while. It starts back up when I roll up “ALL” the windows up at once, the passenger side will then bounce. But it will go up after i do it individually.

Took my car to the dealer and they reprogrammed my left window (which was bouncing back), and replaced my right window regulator (no motor -- just regulator) to which resolved the problem of the window not operating at all sometimes (no input being registered from the window adjustment button).

I believe what BMW did has resolved the issue for now -- and the guys @ Fields took care of everything nicely.

.
I wonder if the dealership's "reprogramming" of the window is what is described in the TIS as "reinitializing"?

Happens to me from time to time. I was wondering if it was due to the tints.
