Resonator delete help

Hello everyone,

My car has had a Meisterschaft GTC axle back for a while now and I’ve recently added VRSF downpipes. Next to go are the resonators, although I can’t seem to figure out if I should have the exhaust shop add an H or X pipe, or just have them go straight out. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Cut off the resonators and replace with pipes.

Got them installed a few weeks ago, the shop said that they fit really easily. Pretty good price compared to other brands out there as well.

A true X pipe would be the better move. Appparently the stock X pipe isnt completely open in the center, which restricts flow between the two exhaust banks and doesn’t do its job

I just installed my meisterschaft gtc axle back also. Doesn't sound like their videos they posted. But I'm assuming I need their mid pipe or downpipes.

Not sure how restrictive the resonators are I've ready it doesn't make much difference if you cut them out.

I read this too, specifically on comp pack cars. But then I read on the forum where someone said even though they were hollow, they were heavy and still restrictive...And that once he removed them and replaced it with straight pipe the sound was very noticeably louder. Hopefully someone can break this down for more clarification...If not, I may be the guinea pig and see what sound difference I notice after I install my axel back and before catless dp.

I removed the resonators on my non-comp GC, then did the Eisenmann axle back, then did the DP's. The car got louder and louder with each one of those steps so it does make a difference but i cannot say for Comp pack cars because I have also read that the resonators on the comp pack cars are just straight pipes as well so it might not make a difference for those cars in regards to removing the resonators.

Yes it's just so damn expensive for the whole kit. The mid pipe is like $2k and the downpipe is like $800. I'm already $4k In on the axle back with install.

HAHA yeah. The absolute best sound you can get from the M6 is Catless Dp on Meistercraft GT or GTC. That sound is just tremendously monstrous.
