Are you sending a seasons greeting card this year?

Wondering whether to send a family shot with masks or forget it.

I don't know why you want to send pictures of your family in masks, no one wants to be constantly reminded of that. But my wife ordered about 3x as many cards as we did last year for all the people we didn't get to see this year.

Definitely do it. It's a mark in time, aside from that; it has the smart ass/sarcastic side to it. If you can get some form of themed masks, it would be even better.

I've thought about it but was going to make it more comical than the traditional posed perfect pictures. I just feel that yeah it's nice but this year has been anything but picture perfect.

We haven’t sent greeting cards in over a decade. I think the only people that still send them are people with kids who want to send around pictures of their kids to everyone they know. But maybe the trend is for people to send them again and I missed it. Wouldn’t be the first trend I missed.

I don't think the rona is transferrable in pictures

might want to contact physician tho

I think it would be funnier if you added some random kid to your session and sent that out. Only have him/her in one photo to make people start looking for him/her in other photos. That will create some dialogue.

I'm going to suggest that our office card this year be everyone in their own "Brady Bunch" Zoom tile.....

The synapses are firing! I want to see some apocalyptical, hair on fire, unruly children and barren wasteland in the back drop, perhaps Santa in distress as well.......or even a Silent Night, Deadly Night meets Contagion type theme.

Haha, I have a few thoughts but actually just have to do it. Part of me is like yeah let's do this then the other part is straight f'it. I mean does anyone really care?

The ones people send me, I open and then they go in a drawer. After Christmas, they go in the trash. This year, I think they will go straight to the trash. Over the past 3 years, I'm getting less and less cards.

I say go for it. There are tons of fun masks available online. Or you can make your own, as my GF does. Get a photo with your fun masks on and send out a playful, light-hearted message. It'll be much appreciated.

I most definitely would much rather have something like this versus the typical card. Also, stuff like this gets saved. If you pull the trigger on this idea, please let me know. I'll PM you my address, would love to see one.

Excellent idea.

My favorite Christmas card story goes back about 30 years, to when I worked in the lumber business. The sales guys all had Christmas cards made every year, usually with a family photo of some sort on the front. These were sent out to their customers, who numbered in the hundreds in some cases.

This particular year, only a few days after mailing out all his cards, one of the salesmen got bombarded with voice mails and phone calls which were all some variant of "Well, Fido sure has the holiday spirit!" Upon closer examination, the family German Shepherd, clearly very proud to be included in the photo, had a raging hard-on.
