Going catless downpipes do you need new plugs gapped differently?
Any other car I ran catless on I simply tuned right after and was good to go . I ran into a video where someone stated you needed to get new plugs and gap them differently. Wanted to check here if that was true as I know a bunch of you are running catless and tuned . Current mods RK front mount intakes and charge pipes . Bootmod3 license and tune ready but not flashed until I go catless and do my exhaust . Thanks in advance

If you run an actual stage 2 file, you should get one step colder plugs and gap them properly. If you intend on running a stage 1 file and just have the CEL coded off to run catless DP's, then you don't need new plugs. With that being said, I would suggest that you don't skip out on the "non fun"/support-mods when starting to add power to these cars. You'll thank yourself later.

Then I’d say get the proper plugs and gap them. I was referring to the upgraded plugs when I said non fun mods. Basically, things that don’t bring visual improvements or increase power/tq to the car, but should be done to make sure the car performs optimally.

I'm not sure what bootmod would suggest for GAP, each tuner is different. For reference, my gaps are .019. My guess is that they'll tell you to run .020-.022 |
