Turbo Wastegate Issues?

My M6 is currently in the shop for a downpipe exhaust leak which I thought was producing a rattle at idle. It turns out that the turbo wastegates were the culprit of the rattling.

Has anyone had trouble with theirs? Im at 64k miles Stage 2 Tune. My mechanic says he can rebuild the wastegates without buying new turbos. Zero shaft or bearing play with the turbos.

I haven't had issue but I know others have. I have almost 100k miles on my turbos. You may find more info in the F10 M5 forum under the engine and exhaust section.
