M6 Vorsteiner carbon
Hello
I've had Vorsteiner carbon kit installed on my M6 and not happy with the fitment. Please could people share with me any photos showing the fitment of the M6 Vorsteiner carbon, also the boot lip and diffusor. Ideally on a light car so I can see how well it fits. Thanks Mat

I had the fitment adjusted for the rear diffuser and side skirts. The shop ended up taking off the body panel for the side skirts and bumper for the rear diffuser. They used screws and double sided tape attaching it directly to each part. Fitment is MUCH better, no gap on the side skirts and very little gap on the rear diffuser. There is a small gap on the front spoiler, but it is not noticeable. - Kris

I have the same spoiler. It fits OK but there is no margin for error when installing. Even being off my a mm can affect the final placement. You definitely need 2 people and the hinge technique to be able to install it properly.

Even though I have an RW Carbon rear spoiler I believe it is virtually identical to the Vorsteiner one. It too had an extremely small "sweet spot" where the spoiler would fit perfect - any deviation from it and would not fit or look good.
Positioning of spoiler is critical - but fairly easy to accomplish by one person using painters tape. I dry fitted my spoiler and when position was perfect I held in place with just a couple pieces of painters tape. Next I outlined with painters tape on the deck lid around the entire edge of the spoiler. After spoiler is outlined with tape - take off spoiler. You should have perfect outline of the spoiler foot print. Wipe this foot print area on your deck lid down with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove any contaminants on the surface so your spoiler's stickey tape will adhere properly. I had to put the 3M sticky tape on bottom side of spoiler myself as it did not come that way. I did entire perimeter and offset it from the edge by about 2 mm - the fewer the pieces the better - try to do it with only 2 long strips. Once tape is in place on bottom of spoiler you need to peel back about 15 mm of the backing on the end of each piece of tape and FOLD over. Next attach a longer piece (6 to 8 cm) of painters tape to the FOLDED ends of the backing you just peeled back. Position spoiler in place on the outline and use a couple pieces of painters tape to hold that position. Make sure your free ends of the tape you attached to the FOLDED backing is poking off to the side and not under the spoiler. Once you are satisfied with position you can the pull the ends of your backing off the tape. The backing will easily pull off - even while sandwiched between the decklid and spoiler - just pull more to direction of tape than off to side. Firmly press your spoiler down in place while you peel the backing off. Remove the tape that outlined your spoiler and it should now be in perfect position. You don't have to outline spoiler with tape - but thought it was easier for me. How about a few pics from the ones that have bad fits? That's basically how my vorsteiner front splitter fits too.. I've heard later versions of the vorsteiner parts for a lot better than the earlier versions.
