MirrorTap Help/Radar Install

Hey Everyone! I know I have seen a few of the guys on here with how to, but I was installing my BlendMount yesterday with the MirrorTap and I'm having a bit of difficulty with the Radar powering on. Anyone have any tips?

Do you have a multimeter that you can use to test the power source? (and also to check you're tapping into the right wires).

Are the mirror tap "prongs" inserted firmly? If your mirror tap came with different sized prongs, I would also try these to give you a good connection.

I don't have a tool to test the power source but I will try to get my hands on one, I used other articles and videos to ensure the right wires.

They were inserted firmly and just came with the standard prong size. It worked for a moment yesterday when I connected the radar but this morning when I attempted to plug it in, it wasn't functioning. I also accidentally left the reading light on overnight so unsure if that had anything to do with it?

Think that's the issue as I've had something similar. The prongs aren't making a good contact. Try plugging the radar in, and jiggling the prongs - if it powers on that's your answer.

RE the reading light, if you car is powering on as normal, then it has no impact. Obviously if you've drained your battery that's a different issue!

For the "mirror plugged" remove the cap on the windshield electronics and find the plug where you can insert the wires for the power and ground
The brown/black wire in the top right position is the ground. The brown/green wire in the bottom middle position is the 12 V switched

The color coding you are using is correct. The 12V supply (Green /Brown) is switched on and off by the car access system. As soon as you unlock the door it switches on and it stays active for a while after you lock it. Have a look at this: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...earch?q=mirror

Connector A60*1B pin 3 for 12V and pin 10 for ground.
