E24 Needs a Good Home
I have an '83 E24 633 CSi that hasn't run in almost 20 years, but has ZERO body rust. I just need it gone and it would make a really good project for a sixer lover, or maybe someone with a rusty M6 would like to make use of this body. I just don't want to see it go to someone that wants to shoehorn another LS engine into all older cars. I have only attached a couple of smaller pix to keep the bandwidth usage down. I do have many more detailed photos. And I do have a title that goes with it. Yes it is free for the taking to anyone desiring a project. Surely someone wants this. I need the space. |

I'm starting to get desperate about this. Does nobody want to do an easy resto on this? Is Paul Bracq's masterpiece so easily thrown away. My wife is giving me a lot of grief about paying to keep this thing indoors, so it HAS to go.
It is located in the Austin, Texas area. I have title for it free and clear. There is no body rust on it. I would really like to send it to a good home, but if someone doesn't want to restore it, surely a BMW specialist in Texas would want this. Someone help me out here! If nobody takes it, I will have to send it to the scrapyard (oh my god, I hope not). Surely there is a BMW parts dealer that would like this, if nothing else. Doug |

Wow dude, can't believe this hasn't been snapped up! Would take it if you were within a few hours of MD. No luck sticking it on Craigslist? What about Cars & Bids with 0 reserve?

I was just thinking the same thing; I can't believe it has been snapped up. I am old enough to remember these as a teen and absolutely loved them. Wish I was closer.

Admittedly I first thought of myself then I remembered I have a c3 vette project and then remembered my wife but when i was done with that struggle I knew there couldn't be a better contact to share this with. I am terribly jealous but hope this works out.

I appreciate the help, guys. Thanks.
And I will advertise on more general sites come this weekend. I was really hoping to find a BMW enthusiast first, so I've listed this on three BMW sites. Doug |
