I’m with MelbourneFinn...in the pic you posted...that appears to be a normal piece on the M6 front bumper that has been wrapped in CF. You can see that it is NOT a part sold separately in the part number diagram below...and it is also quite visible (unwrapped) in a pic of a 2016 M6 front bumper below.

If we’re wrong...then it must be an aftermarket part designed/molded to fit over the existing bumper.

There's a chinese company called EBMotor which makes these, I've seen them on Aliexpress:

Be careful buying from EBMotor: it's a scam of a place.

Placed a $1400 order full of CF parts that shipped, but when the package arrived I had only received a lousy thank you note for placing the order, and three stick-on BMW emblems. A month after trying to contact them at least three times and getting no response, I filed a report with my credit card company (Chase) and thankfully received my money back. Buyer beware.

Good info - sorry you had to go through that. Did you order direct from them or Aliexpress?

I ordered a new CF lip with EBMotors through eBay and transaction was fine. The main thing is the shipping just takes a long time, especially nowadays with all the Covid delays. I ordered in Feb and received in July. In the meantime, they sent me the same stickers as a courtesy gift.

I'm pretty sure EBMotors doesn't make anything. Likely they're just one of the many distributors who all get the same parts from the same factories in China and just drop ship once they receive an order. Some parts may be in stock. Others might need to enter a queue to be made if there's none on the shelf, which could add to the delays.

I just ordered another rear diffuser from them through AliExpress last month... hoping it shows up before the end of the year lol.

Lol. Similar experience - at least 4 months on a shipment - lets just say dont order anything you are too excited about

Yeah especially with shipping delays these days it's hit or miss. I ordered 10 different items from Aliexpress in May. As of last week, 6 arrived, 4 were missing. But I had good customer service from Aliexpress directly - I flagged the items as not delivered (every item had a tracking number verifying this) and they refunded all 4.

Definitely don't order anything urgent from them
