Whatever happened to your situation?? Reading thru old coding messages and ran across your situation. Got me to wondering -- update please. I'm hoping everything worked out great.

Does anybody know if it's possible to code to change de zoom action?
I mean make the knob to zoom in when scrolling clockwise and viceversa.
I can't get used to the way it is, opposite.
Thanks

can anyone show me a picture of:

1. lane assistance on HUD?
2. phone list on HUD?

Trying to see if it's worth coding for. I've only done tire pressure/temp so far which is very useful.

This is what the radio list looks like, phone list is similar. Nav is the same as on the central display when it comes up with the junction detail. Pretty handy especially with the distance maker countdown.

Sorry about photo quality, phone wanted to focus elsewhere.

if you can code I'd recommend it, it gives the HUD a lot more purpose.

Hi Gents,
Does anyone know if the interior ambient lighting can changes or made brighter through coding? I can't seem to find it. I have a 2016 640GC. Much appreciated

What is 6NR and 6WB? BMW option codes, 6nr is the bmw apps, 6wb is the digital gauges.

I use Carly to code, its a wifi obd2 dongle and an android app.

My codings:

legal warning off
dvd in motion
seatbelt warning off
lowest speed for blind spot warning

It can be made brighter, but don't expect miracles. It's still pretty dim.

@ Bigjule1111: You don’t say which software/app you’re using...but if you have Bimmercode...you need the NBT iDrive and you need to go into EXPERT MODE to change the colors. It should be easy to find the parameters you need to look up and change because the topic has been discussed enough that a simple google search with a few key words should give you results. Try something like BMW interior ambient light color change”...or google for one of the BMW coding forums. Make sure you are looking at instructions for the same iDrive version you have in case the module and/or parameters are slightly different than what you have. I believe your 2016 will have the interior and exterior lighting controlled by the BDC. Some BMWs like 3 & 4 series may use the FEM or FRM module...so their coding parameters would be slightly different.

@ iamvanja: you wrote it can be made brighter but don’t expect miracles...which made me laugh a little. I guess that’s why the option is called AMBIENT lighting. I know some owners seem to prefer an almost laser light show inside the cabin (I’ve seen some of your pics )...but the options was probably intended to be subtle/low-key/unobtrusive lighting...thus it was given the name/terminology of “ambient”.

when I coded using the bimmercode app it was changed to 100 percent. Unless it's says it but really didn't change it , which I can believe because it looks the same as it did before

I've seen people mention that ambient light is too dim enough times on this forum to put that disclaimer right away :-)
Compare our ambient lights to any last gen German car and there is a big difference, even though these new cars also have, as you like to emphasize, only ambient lights.

To brighten the ambient light, replace the LED chip or use an aftermarket LED module.

I mentioned this thread.
