Carplay Questions

Good Morning,

I bought a new to me 2018 650i xdrive convertible yesterday. I looked at everything in all of the menus and I can't see how I can enable Carplay. I did see on one of the BMW sites that it can be purchased for a one time fee of $300 and I hope that doesn't apply to my car. In the menu to manage my devices, the phone is there but nothing as far as Carplay goes. I have an Iphone 12 if that makes any difference. Any ideas? Thanks.

This has been covered to death. If you have iDrive NBT Evo ID5/6 you can pay to have it enabled.

If you have iDrive NBT you need an MMI.

You wont see anything in iDrive since it’s not a user accessible function to enable. It’s done with coding.
